Seminars and
groups are continually Please send us your name and email address if you would like to be informed about upcoming seminars and groups through Positive-Change.
The following is a list of tentative titles. Please let me know if you would be interested or if you have ideas for groups or seminars that are not on the list. Groups Women in Relationship-A monthly social and educational group for women to relate to each other as women. After a topical interactive conversation/seminar (on just about anything other than men) the group goes out for drinks, dinner, and lively discussion Food For Thought - A Bi-Weekly group for women who are interested in changing their relationship with food. In American society, food, weight, and body-image have been intertwined with our emotional state and sense of well-being. This group is designed to help us understand and manage our emotional and cognitive relationships with food. Stress Management for Stay-At-Home Moms - A six-week program for mothers who have chosen to leave the workforce in order to care for their children. The group focuses on relaxation, stress reduction, as well as techniques to manage the stresses that arise from caring for a home and family. Seminars Divorce-A Whole Family Transition - This seminar introduces the participants to a new way of looking at divorce. Whether you are contemplating divorce or you have been divorced for a number of years, this seminar offers information that can help you understand divorce as a transitional state that effects every member of the family in different ways. Finding the Beauty Within - Beauty is too often defined as an external, visual entity, when in fact beauty is a visceral experience. This seminar introduces participants to techniques and concepts that allow them to find beauty in themselves and everyday experiences. Talking About With Your Child about Sexuality: Untying Your Tongue - As children many of us received the same message about talking about sex with our families . . . Don't! We all know better, but it doesn't make the discussion any easier. The schools may be helpful in providing information, but it's parent and peers that teach the real lessons. This seminar gives parents the tools they need to make communication about sexuality a part of the healthy parent-child relationship. One seminar will address the needs of children 9 and under and other will help parents of children ages 10-15.
